“Annie” Rehearsal Schedule, Feb 01-14

The preparations for Annie are progressing very well! We have to say it again, “We can’t wait for the show!” Parents and friends are in for a treat!

Below is the rehearsal schedule for the next two weeks, in addition to in-school practices:

Wednesday, February 3rd:                                                                                                          1) Song run-thru for all cast, and

2) Scene 5 actors/NYC choreography:  Warbucks, Annie, Grace, Stars-to-be; All pedestrians: Aristocrats, Flower vendors, Pick-pocket, Mother with stroller, Farmer, Tourists, Newspaper girl, Usherettes, Dog catcher and Apple seller.

Friday, February 5th: 2:35-3:45: Annie, Speaking Orphans, Miss Hannigan and Bundles (Scene 1 choreography; and “Little Girls” choreography)

Sunday, February 7th: 1:00-3:00:                                                                                               SCENE 5: NYC:                                                                                                                 Warbucks, Annie, Grace, Stars-to-be; All pedestrians(Aristocrats, Flower vendors, Pick-pocket, Mother with stroller, Farmer, Tourists, Newspaper girl, Usherettes, Dog catcher, Apple seller.                                                                                                               SCENE 4: “I think I’m going to Like It Here”, all participants.

Wednesday, February 10th: 2:35-3:45                                                                                      1. Annie Update #1: Jan. 27th, 2016

Dear parents,

We will be relying on this blog as the main means of communication regarding Annie upodates! Please subscribe to it, at least for the period of Annie preparation to be aware of expectations and opportunities! Thank you!

The after-school rehearsal schedule for the rest of this week is:

Friday, January 29th:
2:35-3:45: (Scene 4): Grace, Drake, Annie, Warbucks, Cecille, Mrs. Greer, Mrs. Pugh, Cecille, Annette, and the six additional servants.
Sunday, January 31st:
1:00-3:00: (Scene 5): Warbucks, Grace, Annie, Stars-to-be: Kaleesha and Bridget)
2:00-3:00: all pedestrians join in, which includes: aristocrats, flower vendors, pick-pocket, mother with stroller, farmer, tourists, newspaper girl, apple-seller, dog-catcher, Ward and MacLean.

Please note:
1. Only attend rehearsals that you have been asked to attend;
2. Bring a book to read during “down times”.

Once blocking and choreography has been completed for the speaking cast, the rest of the actors in the Orphanage Chorus and additional roles, will be involved in Friday after-school and Sunday afternoon rehearsals. Please stay tuned for exact dates!

The cast has “gelled” together very nicely! We are looking forward to April shows already! Thank you for supporting your child in this musical and dramatic experience!

Annie: costume ideas!

For the purpose of providing costuming ideas, here are a few pictures to help us think about life and fashion in the 1940’s! Be creative and have fun!

A few costume items will be provided, like hats and aprons for servants, as well as “over-dresses” for the 6 speaking orphans and Annie’s attire.

Annie! Rehearsal update:

Preparations are coming along nicely, everyone! Thank you to cast, parents and school staff  and administration for your enthusiasm and support!

I addition to “in-school” rehearsals which involve all cast on Tuesday and Thursdays during 1st recess and Wednesdays after school, practices will be held at the times below for the roles specified :

Friday, January 22nd, 2:35-3:45: (Scene 10 and 11): Annie, Warbucks, Roosevelt, Grace, Drake, Speaking orphans, Miss Hannigan, Rooster, Lily and Howe.

Sunday, January 24th, 1:00-3:00: (Scene 10 and 11): same cast as listed above.

Friday, January 29th, 2:35-3:45: (Scene 4): Grace, Drake, Annie, Warbucks, Cecille,     Mrs. Greer, Mrs. Pugh, Cecille, Annette, and six additional servants.
