Wrap up

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much to all of the parents who came out to see the show last week! We truly couldn’t be prouder of the students and the amazing job that they did in all three shows. What an talented group of students we have at Stratford Elementary. Many thanks as well for all of your help in the lead-up to the show: rides to and from practices, costumes, props- it was all greatly appreciated!

Now that the show is done, we’re working our way through the clean up. For parents who were kind enough to allow us the loan of items, props are available to be picked up at your convenience. We’re looking to round up any costumes items that were borrowed from or provided by the school: skirts, shifts, shirts, hats, ties, etc… If you could send any of these items back by the end of the week, it would be appreciated. We’ll pack all of this away until next year, when the fun will begin again!

Schools of Rock Show

This show, featuring 14 school rock bands will be held this Saturday, April 23rd, from 5-7pm at the Murphy Centre, in Charlottetown. The Stratford band, “Feedback” are asked to be present for their sound check at 12:45, arriving at 12:30, and for the show, arriving at 4:30.
All are welcome; admission by donation.

Final Annie Rehearsals

Wednesday, April 13: 2:35-4:30
Saturday,April 16: 4-6
Sunday, April 7:Dress Rehearsal: Come in costume: 12:45-3:00

Tickets available Wednesday from 4:30-5:00 and in the school office from Thursday until all are sold. ($5 per ticket)

Excitement is building! See you at the shows next week on Tuesday the 19th, Wednesday the 20th and Thursday the 21st!

Annie practice cancelled today!

Due to the wintery weather, today’s practice is cancelled. We will extend Wednesday’s rehearsal until 4:30. Tickets will be for sale on Wednesday from 4:30-5:00pm.

We’re looking forward to the shows on April 19, 20, 21 and hope you will thoroughly enjoy the shows too! 🙂

Sunday, April 17th: 1-3pm: FULL cast in costume.

Great job, so far everyone! Just three weeks and two days til opening night!

Reminder…

YES! There IS practice today, April 3rd, for the full cast from 1-3pm.
We hope to have a few main characters in costume; next week all will be looking “spiffy”!

Favour to ask: might anyone have three old pillows with pillow cases that we could use for the orphanage scenes?

Final details for “ANNIE” costumes!

All components of the musical are coming together nicely! As we begin the final and intense last two and a half weeks of rehearsal, please look over the list below for costuming details still needed. Ideally all items will be ready by next Sunday, April 10^th. Thank you for your assistance and support in the process throughout the past three months! It’s been a very rewarding experience for all involved! We can’t wait ‘til opening night!

*Please wear your costume next Sunday, April 10^th.

*All cast are required on Sunday, April 10^th, 1-3pm and Sunday, April 17^th, 1-3.

*Please note, if your role is not listed, it’s because your costume is already complete.

1. Servants(regular and additional): black leggings, black long-sleeve t-   shirts(no collars please) and black skirts just below the knee. Please bring these items in a bag with your name marked on it as early as possible.
2. Tourists: dress jacket or coat with matching hat with gloves or mittens
3. Apple seller: dark shirt, preferably with a collar, dark pants and dark shoes
4. Dog catcher: dark shirt with dark pants
5. Rooster: collared shirt, preferably not white
6. Warbucks: suit, white shirt, tie, dark shoes
7. Orphanage chorus: dark, solid coloured tattered shirts with dark pants.
8. Louis Howe: white shirt, tie, black pants and black shoes
9. Ward and MacLean: black pants and black shoes; policeman shirts will be provided
10. Stars to be: dark dress shoes
11. Usherettes: black pants or skirts(both usherettes should be dressed the same) with white collared shirts. Please bring these items to school asap as we’ll attach epaulettes.
12. Sound effects man: dress shirt; any colour and dark pants with dark shoes
13. Bundles: plaid shirt; dark pants; ball cap
14. Aristocrats: we have two dresses, fur stoles and hats. You will just need black shoes.
15. Flower Sellers: in addition to the dresses you already have, please provide a sweater or coat, knee socks and dark shoes
16. Pick pocket: dark pants, dark coloured shirt
17. Mother with Stroller: skirt, dress shoes, sweater and pretty silk or polyester scarf.
18. Grocer (formerly called the farmer) We have an apron and hat for you; you will just need dark pants and shoes.
19. Newspaper girl: We have a pair of knickers for you. Please add socks, boots and a collared shirt.
20. Speaking and additional orphans: black leggings and solid, dark coloured, long sleeved t-shirts
21. Grace: We have your dress; please add pantyhose, black dress shoes, and a dress coat.
